my new lens | nikon 55-300mm

I went to town today with my sister and niece to meet Mum when she had finished work. We did a little shopping and went to the bank so I could draw out some money to pay for my lens.

I went to the London Camera Exchange and the man in there was seriously helpful! I tried the 35mm and the 50mm lens on my camera as I had originally said to him that I wanted a lens that I could use for filming, for example, if I was to video myself then I could achieve a blurry background to reduce distraction. I also said that my kit lens (18-55mm) was limiting as I couldn’t zoom in that far at all. So then I tried the 55-300mm which is the next step up for zoom.

I’m so happy with it! As soon as I got home I tried it out through the French doors that look out onto the garden. I could zoom in nearly to the end of the garden without even going outside!!

I would really recommend this lens for taking pictures of wildlife, fast moving and distant subjects. It cost me Β£269.99.
