Today’s main post is a tag created by Marzia (CutiePieMarzia) on YouTube called my wishes. (If you also do the tag then post your link in the comments below so I can read your answers!)
Here are the questions with my answers:
1. What do you wish you knew when you were younger?
I would tell my much younger self that it is ok to make mistakes. I remember making mistakes and getting things wrong growing up and I would beat myself up about them, holding onto them for days. It made me really unhappy but making mistakes is ok. It teaches you so much for the future and every mistake is a lesson learned, in my book.
2. Where do you wish you could live?
If I was to live abroad then it’d have to be Australia. Mainly because of their crazy seasons, for example, their Christmas is in the height of Summer and I’d love to experience that! My auntie lives in Australia (I can’t recall where exactly) and I remember her emailing me pictures of their Winter and her farm buried under several inches of snow. If I could live anywhere in the UK (where I live now) then it’d have to be Brighton. I stayed there with my family for a weekend and I loved it! I loved all the little trinket shops that where on the promenade and the skateboarders (one of my favourite things to do) and the gigs.
3. What is one thing you wish you could do?
I’ve always sung ever since I was little and it seriously cheers me up joining in with a good tune or something, but unfortunately, I can’t sing for the life of me.
4. What would you wish to be better at?
Drawing. I’d love to be able to sketch creatively because then I would be able to design the tattoos I would like, for myself. I have enjoyed drawing in the past but I never liked the outcome. I normally look at a blank piece of paper and think to myself ‘well, what do I do now?’ I really admire artists.
5. What did you wish to become when you were little?
A singer or a teacher. There’s a blackboard at my Grandma’s house and whenever my cousins and I met up there, we would always bring it out and play teachers or schools. I remember sometimes there were little arguments over who was going to be the teacher and if you didn’t get the role you wanted, you’d play up in the ‘classroom’ haha!
6. Is there anything you wish you could change about the world?
I can’t just choose one. I’d love to be able to change the lives of children living in third world countries. I wish I could make the world safer for everyone to live in. It is so upsetting hearing so much negativity daily on the news.
7. What is your “biggest wish”?
To travel, 100%. For a few years now my desire to travel and experience different cultures has grown and my wish is to take my camera all over the world, filming and photographing my adventures.
I was actually thinking of making my own wish jar similar to this one:
